Crossing the Ice - Nothing like a bit of Torture!
Last year DUAL had the opportunity to meet James Castrission and Justin Jones (Cas & Jonesy)at our Annual Strategy Conference. After being inspired and amazed by their previous adventure DUAL signed as a sponsor for their most upcoming challenge to be the first people to cross the South Pole and back unassisted.
Cas and Jonesy are best known as the two mad young guys who were the first people to paddle across the Tasman in a kayak unsupported back in 2007/08 and have since decided to make adventure their life.

Check them out at www.casandjonesy.com.au or http://twitter.com/#!/casandjonesy.
As part of DUAL's involvement Damien decided to head to the blue mountains with 5 CEO's of supporting DUAL Brokers to take part in a massive physical challenge lead by Cas & Jonesy. On the 4th of August the group completed the famous Six Foot Trek from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves where they commenced hiking at 6:30am and over the next 11 hours completed the 45km hike climbing over 2,000 metres.
DUAL introduced a fundraising element to this challenge. Katherine Newton one of DUAL's founding employees and outstanding contributors to DUAL's success has decided after 7 years to leave DUAL to pursue a career in the 'not for profit' world. Katherine has recently started as a counsellor for Lifeline a charity which supports thousands of Australians through their own mental and physical challenges. Donations are being made at: www.everydayhero.com.au/six_foot_challenge.
